Highlight LOWEST and HIGHEST Periods Dynamically on Power BI Chart

In this video, I will show you how to highlight the lowest and highest cumulative total sales dynamically on a chart using conditional formatting in Power BI.

It is relatively easy to see a single data point on a chart, but highlighting the lowest and highest time period is a more challenging task, which can be accomplished using DAX functions. Along the way, you will also learn how to use various DAX functions to build effective measures.

For example, if you need to find the 30-day lowest and highest period in the past 30 days, you can calculate the cumulative sum to find the lowest and highest points, extending the date range to 30 days backward, then highlight it with conditional formatting.
